Cannabis user freaks out after smoking the world's hottest chilli pepper

THE world's hottest chilli pepper not cannabis is being smoked in this bizarre clip.

YouTuber Ted Barrus filmed himself trying to smoke the California Reaper - and failing badly.

Clutching a bong, Barrus says: "You only live once and this is the first time I've ever been scared to do something.

"I've done a lot of stupid things on the internet and this is probably the dumbest."

He has reason to be worried.

After inhaling the chili, Barrus begins spluttering and convulsing wildly.

Incredibly, he inhales again but quickly begins coughing.

He then jugs water down to cool off from the intense burn, and spends the rest of the clip gagging and choking.

One wrote on YouTube: "That's some pretty stupid behaviour right there."

The Daily Star reports another said: "What an absolute fool!"

The Carolina Reaper became the world's hottest pepper – overtaking the Trinidad Scorpion "Butch T" in 2013 .
